Doncaster Choices
The website for the Doncaster 14-19 prospectus. Designed to help young people choose courses after Year 11, including post-16 opportunities.
Department for Education and Skills
Government department responsible for children’s services, education and lifelong learning in England. It aims to create opportunities for learning, release potential and achieve excellence in standards of education.
Adult Learning Inspections
Ofsted inspect and regulate to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.

Qualifications and Curriculum Authority
A non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Education and Skills, which regulates, develops and modernises the curriculum, assessments, examinations and qualifications.

An independent organisation committed to making a difference to education and training by delivering improvement and staff development programmes and supplying services to schools, colleges and training organisations.
Quality Improvement Agency
Aims to improve the quality of education and training in the learning and skills sector.
Teachernet
Developed by the Department for Education and Skills as a resource to support the education profession. Provides teaching tips, resource materials, information on whole-school issues and online teachers’ magazine.
National Institute of Adult Continuing Education
A non-governmental organisation with the formal aim of promoting the study and general advancement of adult continuing education.
National Learning Network
A national partnership programme designed to increase the uptake of e-learning across the learning and skills sector. Provides free interactive e-learning materials.
Literacy Matters
Provides free literacy resources and teaching plans, advice on teaching courses and an online forum for teachers.
Sherston Online
An online resource for teachers, with information on literacy, numeracy and science. Registration required (free 14-day trial).
The Standards Site
Part of the Department for Education and Skills, with the aim of supporting educational standards. Contains school news and information and offers a free email alert service to school staff.
NAEGA
An association for adult guidance practitioners, which aims to promote adult guidance services, encourage high standards of practice and promote equal access to learning and work opportunities for adults in the UK.
CEGNET
The website of the Department for Education and Skills careers education support programme. Provides resources and lesson ideas, information on qualifications and awards and careers information.
Guidance Forum
An online network which aims to identify the resources available in the area of IT-guidance for adults.
The Training Foundation
Offers assistance to anyone involved in training and coaching others. This includes providing online learning, training resources, articles and trainer certification.

The Government department that is responsible for producing a wide range of economic and social statistics, including statistics relating to education.
