When
thinking about where you’ll learn, you need to bear in mind where you’ll feel at ease and where is convenient to your home or workplace. That way you’re
more likely to stick at it.
Learning doesn’t just take place in a school or college classroom. It could be in a Learning Gateway centre, community centre, library or your own home. It could be over the internet – what’s called e-learning. It may be one or more of these.
Weigh up the pros and cons of each too. Learning at home is handy and flexible but you study on your own and you need somewhere in the house to do it. If you learn at college you benefit from good facilities and the chance to meet others but you have to travel and study at set times.
