The Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) is a key aspect of being a Learning Gateway. The following points explore some of the key questions you might have about the QAF and how it might affect you or your centre.
What is a QAF?
A Quality Assurance Framework is a structure for your Centre to work within which will ensure both quality and consistency across all Learning Gateways centres.
Why it is important
The benefit of this is ultimately felt by the learner who will then benefit from, and learn to recognise the quality of, the Learning Gateways brand. They will also see a consistency in the levels of service provided by Learning Gateways.
How do the Learning Gateways team support the QAF
The Learning Gateways team monitors and supports centres to ensure that they are working towards/within the QAF. The team is also in charge of conducting 6 monthly reviews to ensure that the QAF is being followed and to offer support and advice where it is needed.
The 6 Monthly Reviews
The bi-annual review process is designed to support you and your centre to continually develop your ways of working to enhance both your centre and the Learning Gateways project as a whole. The overall aim is to highlight areas you have improved and to show areas you could develop and focus on within the next 6 months. |
