What it means to be a Learning Gateway.
So now you’re a Learning Gateway you may still be a little unsure as to actually what all of this means for you and your centre, and what you might expect from it all. The bullet points below show what you should expect from the Learning Gateways project team and in return what we expect from you.
What we do for you
- Provide you with a quarterly newsletter on the progress and developments of the Learning Gateways project
- Provide feedback on your centre's performance every six months
- Provide information on new initiatives happening within the borough including Doncaster Education City
- Provide flexible and bespoke Learning Gateways training modules
- Provide reasonable support to centres
- Provide marketing and promotional items where possible
- Provide this space on the web and provide useful information for your centres using this medium.
What you do for us
- Promote Learning Gateways within the local community
- Promote the Information, Advice and Guidance service (if you aren’t sure what this is see our section on IAG in this section of the website)
- Maintain records on all Learning Gateways ‘service users’
- Provide data for the Learner Management System on a regular basis
- Managers and staff will undertake the bespoke Learning Gateways training
- Comply with the intent of the Learning Gateways QAF (if you aren’t sure what this is see our section on the Quality Assurance Framework on this section of the website)
- Commit to a minimum of six months' involvement in the Learning Gateways programme after you have accessed the training
These are not exhaustive and the team is there to help and support you in your journey either to becoming a Learning Gateways centre or in your progress within the Learning Gateways structure.
